Sometimes It's Just About Being Out

Sunday started as a rather dull day. I'd headed out in the morning and walked the dog along the Estuary near my home in Somerset. A circular route saw me back home around midday.

Fortunately, the weather had cheered up a bit, so I decided to prepare the motorbike for a ride out. The dog was comfortable on the sofa, and I could venture out while she slept.

I loaded my Holga GN and headed towards Axbridge, then on to Cheddar. I took the B3136, a road that offers fifteen minutes of bliss on a motorbike as it snakes its way towards Wells.

I stopped for a break and finished off the roll of film in the Holga.

The photo above was one of the better exposures.

But sometimes it's not about producing great photographs. It's simply about getting out, enjoying the ride, and having a camera with you.

And there's nothing wrong with that.
