Photography can be about the balance between light and dark, between maintaining highlight detail and shadow detail. It's also about getting sharpness through the photograph and ensuring that the bit's that you want in focus are actually in focus. Of course with film you have absolutely no way of know until you develop the film. This photo I focused on the table but that has thrown the window behind the table out of focus as I was shooting at f5.6. Still you live and learn (hopefully). At least I live to shoot another day, when I shall right the wrongs of this roll.
